I graduated with an advanced diploma in Game Development under the Game Art branch and although I had a good time with the program, I believe mentorship is the way to go. If you do take the college/Uni route though, please network as much as you can with your profs and students.

Pokemon,Dark Souls, Bloodborne, Elden Ring, Jak II, Call of Duty (MW2/BO2), Rimworld, Terraria, Faster Than Light, Roller Coaster Tycoon 1/2!/3, GTA (SanAn/IV), Super Mario World 2, Tony Hawks Underground.

My first game was Pokemon Silver with an atomic purple gameboy color my dad got me, from that point on my passion for videogames probably spiraled out of control. First game I technically ever played if I remember correctly was Mort the chicken on ps1

Grew up not poor, but not middle class either though my dad always found a way to get me the latest sony/nintendo handheld console. Many dinners of Hot Dogs, Spaghetti, MacnCheese, or Beans and Weiners. My school lunches were always bologna sandwiches with the occasioanl ziploc of cereal so even though it wasn't fancy, I think I did alright.
